COMMUNITY SERVICE
At Landrum School of Performing Arts, we believe that the arts are not only for the stage, but also for giving back to the community. Our students and staff proudly participate in events such as Family Fun Day, Trunk n Treat, and community celebrations including the Whitestone Tree Lighting, the Friends of Francis Lewis Park Tree Lighting, and the Bayside Civic Association Tree Lighting. These performances spread holiday cheer and showcase how music, dance, and theater can bring neighbors together.
We also give back through outreach at the Rapid Rehousing Center of College Point, supporting families in need with clothing drives, donations, and encouragement. Opportunities like these allow our students to connect their passion for the arts with acts of service, building a tradition of compassion and community spirit.
Our commitment to service extends beyond local events into partnerships with organizations that make a difference on a larger scale. We proudly support St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Sloane Kettering Cancer Center through benefit performances, fundraising efforts, and donation drives.
These experiences teach our students the importance of using their talents to uplift others, reminding them that the gift of performance can also be a gift of hope. Whether it’s bringing joy to children, raising awareness, or supporting families in times of need, we are dedicated to giving back wherever we can.
